Lots of Halloween-themed stuff to do on the bike this weekend in LA, starting with tonight’s opening of Ghost Bikes of LA at bicycle art gallery Red5 Yellow7, starts at 7pm next door to Orange20.
It’s also the last Friday of the month and that means thousands of bikes take over the streets for a presumably costume-heavy Critical Mass ride. As usual leaves from the Wiltern at 7:29pm sharp, and ends at Sunset and Western God knows when.
Saturday starts Spooky Kross LA Bikefest weekend 2013 at the Fairplex in Pomona featuring a costume cross race, a twilight crit, a bike-in movie and pumpkin carving.
Sunday is the Halloween Haunted Hollywood ride, a guided tour of haunted and macabre locations around Hollywood & Beverly Hills. Did this last year, and it was a great time and well run. Highly recommended. Leaves from Hollywood Forever Cemetery at 9am.
Have a great weekend and ride safe!
Also don’t forget about the big public hearing on Monday night to keep the Hyperion bridge from turning into a bike lane-less 55 mph freeway. We need EVERY #BikeLA voice in that room!
